3 Unconventional Ways to Overcome
Challenges
Life throws innumerable challenges our way; we cannot run from these challenges and we cannot hide from them. No matter how bleak, dreary and helpless the situation might sound, you cannot give up. The only option a person has is to overcome them or to tackle them. The challenges will change things, which is why you need to fight to ensure that things change in your favor.
You must have heard, ‘a stitch in time saves nine’, follow that advice. However, this certainly does not mean that you should blindly charge into a situation, or dive into anything head first. Yes, many times you do have to tackle the things thrown at you and improvise, but on most occasions, you need to keep your cool and focus in order to win.
There are so many ways you can overcome a challenge thrown at you by life. Yet, there are some that can be used as universal solutions or tips to tackle all sorts of challenges. These unconventional routes for overcoming challenges are:
1. Write it down
Writing things down, makes you think clearly. Not only does writing how you feel about a challenge reduces your anger, but it also helps you understand if you are overreacting in a particular situation. Writing down things puts them into perspective, allowing you to find more effective ways of dealing with the challenges thrown at you.
2. Go on a day trip
Go away from home and take some time for yourself, even if just for a day. Moving away from a particular challenge or situation sometimes puts things into perspective; or at the very least, having a little fun and relaxing will reduce your stress levels allowing you to think things with a clearer and fresher mind.
3. While it is not recommended to pour your entire life out to a stranger, it is ok to discuss a particular situation as far as you do not divulge into any personal details or critical information. Is there a random stranger you say ‘hi’ to on your daily jog, a kind old man in a coffee shop, or an online friend you barely know? Do not go on a rant straight up, but build up the conversation and then seek advice. Sometimes the best advice comes from someone who is fully unbiased towards you and towards a situation.
Overall, it is in your best interest to commence a journey towards personal development immediately. What ways do you use to get away from the stress of your work?
